About Our Lodge

A Tradition of Brotherhood Since 1958

For more than six decades, Parkwood Lodge No. 695 has been a place where men come together to build character, form lifelong friendships, and serve the Oshawa community.

Founded in 1958, Parkwood Lodge was established to meet the needs of a growing community and to ensure that Freemasonry in Oshawa remained strong, accessible, and well-governed. Since then, generations of members have carried forward a tradition built on integrity, mentorship, charitable service, and a commitment to helping good men become even better.

Today, Parkwood Lodge continues to welcome men from all walks of life who share a desire to grow personally while making a positive difference in their families, workplaces, and communities.

Founded with Purpose

In the late 1950s, Oshawa was growing rapidly. Existing Masonic lodges were thriving, and it became clear that a new lodge was needed to support both the expanding city and the future of Freemasonry in Durham Region.

On March 13, 1958, Parkwood Lodge began its work under dispensation before being formally constituted later that year.

The creation of Parkwood Lodge was never simply about adding another lodge—it was about ensuring that future generations would continue to have a place to learn, lead, and serve.

That same purpose continues to guide us today.

A Legacy of Service

Throughout our history, Parkwood Lodge has adapted while remaining true to its values.

As Freemasonry evolved, Parkwood embraced new ideas, welcomed new generations of members, and continued to serve Oshawa with dedication and purpose.

Our members have supported charitable initiatives, mentored future Masons, strengthened our community, and helped preserve one of the world’s oldest fraternal traditions.

The strength of Parkwood has never been measured simply by numbers—it has always been measured by the character, commitment, and service of its members.

Looking Forward to the Future

While our traditions stretch back centuries, our focus is firmly on the future.

Parkwood Lodge remains committed to providing a welcoming environment where men can build meaningful friendships, develop leadership skills, contribute to their community, and continue a lifelong journey of personal growth.

Every new member helps write the next chapter of our story.

“The true Mason is not distinguished by wealth or status, but by his character and his commitment to helping others.”
